19th-century Swedish bentwood box (Svepask)
An oval bentwood box with lid in its original muted grey-green color, traditionally known in Sweden as a Svepask. These boxes were historically handcrafted by steam-bending thin strips of wood and securing them with wooden pegs or stitching.
The lid and edges display a lovely, natural patina reflecting over a century of gentle use. The color is a soft, understated grey-green that fits effortlessly into any interior.
