Unique Swedish wooden pedestal platter - 19th century
This rare antique wooden pedestal bowl / compote is turned from a single solid block of wood and finished by hand. A faint owner's inscription is still visible on the underside.
Over the centuries, the wood has naturally warped into an oval shape, lending the bowl a beautiful, organic curve. It features a lovely, light, and authentically aged patina.
A truly rare and unique folk art find.
