Hand-carved wooden deer on a pedestal
Beautiful woodcarving of a bellowing stag. The entire sculpture is hand-carved from solid wood. The stag is mounted on a robust wooden base with the original bark still intact.
Although we found it in Sweden and it strongly resembles Scandinavian folk art, the label on the bottom says that the sculpture was made in Poland in the mid-20th century.
In very beautiful condition with a lovely warm, natural appearance and original details.
