Swedish earthenware storage jar, lightly stained
Large, lightly buttered Swedish earthenware storage jar in the shape of a small barrel.
This jar dates from the late 19th or early 20th century and was presumably produced at Rörstrand or Gustavsberg, both manufacturers of utilitarian earthenware around 1900.
The Swedish text "Havremjöl" means wheat flour. This jar was originally part of a larger series of similar jars.
Beautifully buttered with characteristic craquelé. No chips.
