19th century Swedish cabinet

This understated, elegant Swedish cabinet from Hälsingland in Northern Sweden is an absolute showpiece.

The initials KKD 1839 are displayed on the upper left panel, indicating that this cabinet was made as a wedding gift for a specific family heirloom.

The lower part of the cabinet features two large drawers with hand-painted floral motifs. The exterior of the cabinet has an incredibly weathered blue-grey/turquoise paint finish. The original wood color (the pine) shines through warmly.

The interior has a practical layout with shelves and three small built-in drawers with original wooden knobs. Valuables could be stored in these drawers.

The cabinet consists of two parts: the section with the two large drawers and the upper section with the doors.

In perfect condition.
